Get happy first, your dreams will follow

Today, at the urging of my dear friend AB, I watched Happy, a feel-good social science documentary directed by Roko Belic. As expected, it was simultaneously uplifting and informative. Each authoritative scientist was paired with a montage of humans playing soccer, sharing meals, surfing, high-fiving, smiling, laughing, and generally joy-ing.

Unexpectedly, this documentary challenged my core beliefs about happiness within the first ten minutes.

French ain't so fancy

I don't know who my audience is, should be, or might become.  For now, it is me, seeking, cultivating, and embracing happiness.  On the off chance that it could also be you, and you don't happen to speak French, don't be thrown by the title.  It is at least accessible as happiness is itself.

Joie de vivre literally means joy of life, but it encompasses so much more.
